Hi, I’m Nadia — a nurse, wife, and mom. I created Mama Made because I wanted a natural, safe toothpaste for my family — and yours. Since our teeth and gums absorb what we use every day, I didn’t feel comfortable using harsh chemicals twice daily.
I also wanted more than something that just looked like it was working. I wanted a formula that actually supports a healthy environment for your teeth to thrive. And yes — the way it helps eliminate morning breath is just a small sign of that (you can learn more in the FAQ below).
I began making this toothpaste for my husband and me. After he started using it, he loved it so much that he said others should have access to it. Way back when, folks in ancient Egypt, Greece, and China got creative with what they had—crushed bones, eggshells, herbs, and even charcoal—to keep their teeth clean. Not exactly minty fresh, but hey, it was a start.
With the Industrial Revolution came tooth powders you could actually buy in stores. Some early pastes popped up too, made with soap and artificial glycerin. Still a little harsh, but progress was progress.
